Guest room with green room, admit and on-air controls

Fireside remote guests

Open a room, share the link, admit from the green room, put them on air. Signalling runs on Streamix’s self-hosted PeerServer; media is direct WebRTC.

  • Green room with live level meters: Admit, On air, Mute, gain, Kick; auto-reconnect keeps identity
  • Return feed = your camera + a mix-minus of the program (never their own voice) — no headphones needed
  • Guest caps by plan: 2 / 6 / 20; tile layouts fit up to 4 on screen at once
  • Names validated and rendered only as canvas text; the guest page is its own origin with a strict CSP

Public HTTPS guest page

Invites and QR codes point at a public HTTPS page (real TLS, any network) with the room id and PeerServer in the URL fragment, so the static host never sees them.

  • LAN mode: a self-signed HTTPS server in the app for debugging on the same Wi-Fi
  • Export the page to any static host and paste the URL into Guest page URL
  • VDO.Ninja documented as a fallback when PeerJS is blocked

Fireside, Interview & Podcast templates

A procedural animated fireplace behind two rounded tiles, warm grade + vignette and compact name tags; Interview with a cool grade and an armed lower third; Podcast with waveform bars under each name.

  • Active-speaker highlight follows a smoothed audio level so it never flickers
  • Layouts: side by side, host + PiP, stacked, 2 × 2 — from the Live deck or ⌘⇧L
  • Guest-room chat merges into the Comments list and can be pinned on stream
